For a period of 4 days, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00, the road to Skanda Vale, starting at Min Y Nant, will have a temporary obstruction, leading up to 15 minutes of delay for traffic. This is to allow resurfacing of the road to take place.

From Monday, 8th December, a stretch of the A484 between Cwmdwyfran and Cynwyl Elfed will be closed between 9:00 and 16:00 for 5 days. This is to allow urgent tree cutting along the roadside.
Travelling to Cynwyl Elfed from Carmarthen, it is recommended to go via Llandysul instead. The road between Llanpumsaint and Cynwyl Elfed remains open.

Road Closed Bronwydd

The A484 to Carmarthen from Bronwydd junction will be closed between the 5th and 25th January. This is for tree cutting, and the installation of a concrete barrier.
Vehicles will still be able to turn right towards Cynwyl Elfed, but they will not be able to turn left to Carmarthen.
For alternate routes to Carmarthen, it is recommended to go via Peniel.

The Ffynnonhenri Junction will be closed for one day only on 6th January, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, so that BT Openreach engineers can carry out safety checks and pole testing work. Drivers may experience short delays, with traffic stopped for up to 15 minutes at a time while the work takes place.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained
Local residents and services will still be able to reach homes and businesses

It is recommended to go via Alltwalis instead

This is to allow BT Openreach to carry out overhead structure works. To travel to Bancyffordd, it is recommended to turn left after Alltwalis to come out Pencader junction just south of the Roman Road.

The road to Cynwyl Elfed, just south of the Roman Road, will be closed from 12th to 18th February 2026 between the hours of 9:30 and 15:30. The road will be open over the weekend. This is to allow BT Openreach to carry out overhead structure works.
To get to Cynwl Elfed, it is recommend to go via the village, turning at the pub instead.
